RED JUNGLE | “Red Jungle” is a meticulously crafted grape marc spirit in the Grappa style, boasting a fragrant profile with its origins rooted in Italy. GranMonte pioneered the production of this type of grape marc spirit, marking the first of its kind in Thailand. With a commitment to a Zero Waste approach, GranMonte utilizes grape skins from the winemaking process to distill the Red Jungle, resulting in a spirit that is smooth and robust.

The name “Red Jungle ” reinterprets Khao Yai region’s original name, Doang-Phaya-Fai, lit. “jungle of the fire god”. The region is now home to GranMonte Vineyard and Winery, a leading producer of 100% Thai-grown and made wine.

Drawing inspiration from the Grappa style, our exploration of the aromas
and flavors of the grape varieties cultivated and produced by GranMonte
in Thailand has been profound. The diverse grape varieties contribute distinct notes, influenced by the specific characteristics of each grape variety. While the Red Jungle imparts an essence reminiscent of Oakwood with smoky undertones and a subtle vanilla-like aroma, it is noteworthy that this spirit has not been aged in barrels. Both these aromas are enveloped under the fragrance of dried fruits and raisins, derived from grape marc after the winemaking process.

Inspired by these characteristics, we crafted the Red Jungle fragrance by
using the aromas experienced during tasting as the primary notes, complemented by Tonka bean and Cedarwood to intensify the warmth,
accompanied by Sandalwood to add a soft touch in the base notes.

In summary, the Red Jungle fragrance offers a warm, robust aroma of dried fruits in the initial notes, transitioning to a soft and woody finish. It embodies the essence of Oakwood with a bright, non-sweet profile, aligning with the concept of the Red Jungle.
